Watch National Rugby Championship NRC Live Streaming 2014 Round 6 Brisbane City vs Queensland Country match will be kick off at Ballymore Stadium, Brisbane, Sunday 28 September 2014 online, Time 15:00 AEDT and its broadcast On Fox Sports.
The Andy Purcell Cup will be up for grabs when the NRC’s inaugural Queensland derby takes place at Ballymore in front of what is expected to be the competition’s biggest crowd to date.
It looks to be a contest along the David v Goliath storylines after Brisbane City included Quade Cooper and Curtis Browning in an already Reds-heavy line-up.
Cooper will make his long-awaited return from injury via the bench but Browning – who was handed the City captaincy before injury struck – comes straight into a backrow that already features Liam Gill and Jake Schatz.
Cooper is likely to play around 20 minutes off the bench in the second half as he begins his journey back to the Wallabies in the company of rising Fijian Samu Kerevi, and former Test winger Lachie Turner.
The boys from bush may be underdogs but they’ll be desperate to register an upset over the “City Slickers”. Country boy Beau Robinson has already dubbed City the “Real Madrid” of NRC and labelled Cooper “Cristiano Ronaldo”.
Robinson is sure to go looking for his Reds teammate when he enters the fray but it looks like being a comfortable afternoon for the Brisbane side otherwise.
